Professor Michael Graeber
Professor Graeber is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the Legendary Wellington “Megaton” Dias.
He has competed in countless tournaments across the globe, is a 5-time Arizona State Champion, Gracie United Champion, and a Pan American Medalist.
He has traveled to Rio de Janeiro and trained with the Gracie Humaita World Competition Team.
Michael's professional career as an Controls Systems Engineer gave him the opportunity travel extensively and train with many of the best Academies in the USA.
Michael has lived in South Kansas City since 2005 with his wife Stephanie and their three daughters.
Professor Carlos Vargas
Carlos Vargas is a 2nd degree black belt under the legendary Pedro Sauer.
He leads the kid's program with a vibrant energy second to none.
Coach Vargas runs the adult program Monday through Wendesday.
He has been a flagship to Gracie Humaita since it's founding.
Professor Sean Liebig
Sean Liebig is a 1st degree black belt with nearly twenty years of experience.
Coach Liebig received his black belt from Michael Graeber in January of 2021.
Sean is the General Manager of the academy and heads the onboarding and fundamentals program.
Though Coach Liebig has competed in dozens of tournaments, his expertise is teaching defensive tactics and body mechanics.
Prior to becoming a full-time coach, Sean Liebig was a firefighter and paramedic. He has taken many of the lessons learned in public safety and applies them to the art of jiu-jitsu.
His passion is using the art of jiu-jitsu to help people cope with the daily grind of life.
