GHKC offers a unique opportunity to work with one of our head instructors to get you prepared for Brazilian Jiujitsu.
The on-boarding program is a 4-week curriculum which takes you through the basic movements you need to succeed and be safe on the mats. Safety is a high priority at GHKC. With the on-boarding program, you can ensure that you feel safe and prepared before jumping into another program.
This is a low stress program where you can dip your toes in and see what Brazilian Jiujitsu is about. Beyond learning fundamental movements, you will explore the principles of Brazilian Jiujitsu through various self-defense scenarios. No sparring. No stress.
What's next after on-boarding?
Join Professor Sean Liebig in learning the principles of Gracie Jiujitsu through our Gracie Humaita Curriculum program.
Professor Liebig has a knack for teaching Gracie Jiujitsu to all types of people. In fact, every year Coach Liebig heads out to the Gracie Humaita Headquarters for annual training with Gracie legends and blackbelts alike.
The sport of Brazilian Jiujitsu is what you most likely see on social media. Sport Jiujitsu involves grappling with an opponent to obtain positional dominance and acquire a submission (the tap). No strikes are allowed in sport BJJ. We offer both No-Gi and Gi classes for early-birds, nooners, and evening training sessions.
Does GHKC offer women's only training?
Each of our programs have women in attendance. It is of great importance to us to provide an inclusive and safe training environment for all. However, GHKC does offer women's only training sessions.
Current Class ScheduleAt GHKC, we value the takedown. In a sport setting, the takedown may only be worth 2 points. But in a real life altercation, the takedown leads to positional dominance.
Join us every Saturday morning at 10am for our takedown-specific practice. We utilize techniques of both wrestling and Judo. Each week we alternate between No-Gi and Gi training sessions.
While we do offer this takedown-specific practice, each of our instructors are knowledgeable in the art of the takedown. Thus, many practices contain techniques pertaining to the takedown.
